sweeter than cupcakes

It's been a month since my last post, huh? Anyway, about two weeks ago, Fira, Ima, and me decided to bake cupcakes at my house as it would be Petra's sweet seventeen birthday on March 9th. We were super thrilled. It was our first time baking together! And I'd missed having fun with them so much.

First, we went to the grocery store to buy some ingredients. We even stopped by at 7-Eleven to buy some snacks and drinks for ourselves. Hehe. As soon as we got to my house, we started baking! We got some help from Mbak Nur as we're not trained professionals still amateurs. And we also tried copying those baking scenes in movies where they threw flour and eggs at each other, but we decided not to because it's obviously gross. But mostly because it's wasting precious money.

Moving on. After we finished making the batter and putting them in the oven, we made the icing to decorate those cupcakes. We nailed it and it looked super delicious. Although, now after I knew what's in that super yummy icing, I'm constantly reminded about how much trans fat that I'd eaten all these days. But you know what? Screw those fats. This thing is taste-bud paradise.

So anyway, when the cupcakes were out of the oven, we still thought that making them were..... a piece of cake. But then we realized why cupcakes are sold in a high prize. You see, the hardest part of making cupcakes is decorating them. You have to be really careful and creative to create those gorgeous-looking cakes. I personally failed a few times before I could really get it right.

But finally, after a long hard work, our cupcakes were finished! Yayuh! I don't know about you guys, but for me, Fira, and Ima, they were definitely mouth-watering. So kudos for us!!! And once again, happy belated birthday to our loveliest Petra Bella Aritonang! XOXO
